Montjuïc & Panoramic Tour

From the sea to the hill: the very edge of Barcelona.

  Montjuïc & Panoramic Tour Description

The drive will take you past the Old Port to the new sea front of Barcelona. Until the 1992 Games, Barcelona litterally lived with its back to the sea.
On the occasion of the 1992 Olympic Games, a new residential area was developed to accommodate the athletes: the Olympic Village, as well as a new marina: the Olympic Port, and kilometers of brand new beaches.

Staying within sight of the sea front the tour will take you to Montjuic hill, driving by some famous landmarks such as the colorful Barcelona Head sculpture by Liechstenstein, the Columbus Monument, the World Trade Center and the Drassanes.

Montjuïc hill, a low lying hill by the sea, has been set aside for leisure-related activities and features huge gardens, sport facilities including the Olympic site, and several museums, such as the Miró Foundation.
The panoramic drive will take a couple of stops at a viewing terrace with impressive views over the city and the port and at the Olympic site, where most of the 1992 games took place.

The tour will finally end at the Spanish Village (Poble Espanyol), a tourist attraction built for the 1929 World Fair in Barcelona and designed to be a showcase of popular architecture from all over Spain.

After lunch, you can stay at the Spanish Village to explore its numerous handicraft shops or be taken back to the Panoramic & Montjuïc Tour starting point on Catalonia square, where you can take our Montserrat Tour.
