Conceived as an orientation tour, this short tour of Barcelona will provide you with a basic knowledge of the main areas of interest in town: from the Ensanche district of Central Barcelona to the Old Town.
Ideal for your arrival day, when you are not in shape yet for heavy duty sightseeing but want to have an idea of the city and be well prepared for the next day(s) activities!
A Glimpse of Barcelona Tour Description
From the starting point: Plaça Catalunya, the very center of Barcelona, you will be comfortably taken along some of the most representative streets of the Ensanche district such as Passeig de Gràcia to Plaça de Espanya, then up Montjuïc Hill, past the site of the famous Magic Fountain of Barcelona sound and light show.
Enjoy spectacular views of the city from the National Museum of Art building before driving down Paral·lel avenue to the Port entrance, the Columbus Monument –at the bottom end of La Rambla, and along the seafront and beaches.
The drive back to the starting point will take you up Via Laietana, the only avenue open to traffic that crosses the Old Town, past important landmarks such as the Barcelona Cathedral, the Gothic District, the Palau de la Musica, etc.
